It is not yet known whether the roll out of the local music playback support feature will only be initiated for the premium users or for both premium and free users. This amazing feature can be used by clicking on to the ‘toggle’ under the app’s settings and turning on the ‘show device files’ option. Upon enabling the ‘show device files’ option, users will be able to see at all the audio files that are already downloaded on the user’s smart phone or desktop. The app will scan the user’s device for local audio files that are already saved and then will show the same in the ‘your library’ section on the application itself.

Spotify users can listen to local audio files by logging into their respective accounts on their laptops/desktop and smart phones as well. A new Stories feature is also recently rolled out on the Spotify app for both android and iOS users.
