Google Play store added kid friendly section for Teacher-Approved Apps

The search engine giant is actively working these days to make things easier for its users. The company a few days before announced a huge change in its shopping platform and now it is again with some new announcement. Recently the company disclosed that they are adding a new Kids-friendly section on the Google Play Store. The section will be rated and reviewed by teachers and experts.
The search engine giant has mentioned that all the features will be assured that the app meets its security standards and various other factors. However, the company had planned to launch the section later on this year but decided to roll out this feature earlier so that the kids staying at home can enjoy this feature and learn something nee indoors.
The feature will be initially available
to the US due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic but will be soon available globally in the coming months. The global lockdown struck the global business deadly but in between all this, the mobile application development companies are working to create apps to make the process easier for everyone.
According to the latest reports, the applications in the section will be grouped by different age groups like ages 5 and under, ages 6-8 and ages 9-12.  It is also revealed that this section will launch with about 1,000 Teacher Approved apps live in the Play Store and around 60 also included in Google Play Pass.
To make the experience livelier the California based company said that they are currently working with its Play Pass partners to boost this number over time. This is the best way the company is trying to help parents to find relevant apps and games on the Play Store to keep kids engaging. The new kid's friendly section is going to replace the ‘Family’ tab in the Play Store app and will feature a library of apps all approved and rated by expert teachers.

The teacher-approved program is designed to draw attention to apps for kids that have been examined by the top teachers on the Google Play Store. The apps that will be present in the section at the launch time in the Kids section will be rated by teachers based on a variety of factors like the ability to invoke creativity, educational use, positivity, and imagination. After the launch of this feature in the Google play store every application that has been recommended by teachers will be listed on the app's page with a reason behind that on the Play Store.  Every app will be rated by the teachers to ensure the quality and eligibility criteria to receive a ‘Teacher approved’ badge.
In addition to the above, the main notion behind this section is not only providing educational apps to the kids. The best part about this section is that the apps in the program don’t mainly need to be educational. There will be different apps related to education, playing, and entertainment suitable for kids of certain ages.
The launch time of the kid's section is preponed because most of the children at this time are now out of school due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the following school closures will impact the education system as well. As per the latest reports, approximately 55.1 million students are no longer attending the school due to the global lockdown period.
This situation is very tough for parents as they have to scramble to fill their child’s time with educational activities. Even many schools are not offering distance learning to keep the child engaged throughout the day.
Conclusion:
In simpler words, Google Company understands the situation of parents and thus the company launched the new teacher-approved section in the Google play store. The new Kids tab will roll out in the U.S. on Google Play in a few days and will expand the services globally in the upcoming months to come.
